2. Service Description

TaxSimple provides a free self-assessment tax calculator for UK taxpayers. The calculator estimates your income tax, National Insurance contributions, and other liabilities based on the information you provide. We also offer a paid PDF report (currently £12) that provides a detailed breakdown of your tax calculation with HMRC box references.

3. No Refund Policy — All Sales Final

All purchases of digital PDF reports are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or credits under any circumstances.

By purchasing a PDF report, you acknowledge and agree that:

The product is a digital good delivered instantly upon payment.
You have had the opportunity to use the free calculator before purchasing.
The PDF report contains the same calculation results shown in the free calculator, presented in a professional format with additional guidance.
Once the PDF is generated and delivered, the transaction is complete and non-reversible.
You waive your right to a cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 as the digital content is delivered immediately with your consent.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you consent to the immediate delivery of digital content and acknowledge that you lose your right of withdrawal once the PDF report has been generated and made available for download.

4. Accuracy and Disclaimer

TaxSimple is a calculation tool only. It is not tax advice and does not replace professional accounting or tax advisory services. While we make every effort to ensure calculations reflect current HMRC rates and rules:

We do not guarantee the accuracy of any calculation.
You are solely responsible for verifying figures with HMRC before filing your return.
We accept no liability for any losses, penalties, or additional tax arising from reliance on our calculations.
Tax rules may change after our rates are published; always check gov.uk for the latest information.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Provide accurate information when using the calculator.
Use the service only for lawful purposes related to UK tax estimation.
Not attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute our calculation logic or PDF reports.
Not use automated systems to access the service in a manner that could damage or overload it.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding on taxsimple.me is owned by TaxSimple. The PDF reports generated are licensed for personal use only. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly share the reports.

7. Payment Processing

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Stripe's own terms of service apply to payment processing. All prices are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxSimple shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the PDF report (if any).

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep the service available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or reasons beyond our control without prior notice.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
